Hello, Hello, whereever you are?
So, we have to go on record by apologizing first. Sorry…have you wondered where we vanished to? It has been quite a journey in the last couple of months for the three of us. As you recall, we are three busy moms with children under the age of 4. It makes interesting life adventures! But, our adventures will not cease, will be continue to have some interesting stories and life lessons to share with you…
We wanted to fill you in on our latest developments at Posterity Place. In the last couple of months, we have discovered that Posterity Place will be giving birth. Literally. No, we don’t have any new products to unveil at this time, but we do have exciting news!
2 out of the 3 of us our expecting little ones. Our designer Debi will be having another little boy in September. (She currently has a little boy that is almost 2!) The good news here is that Debi is already churning out new creative ideas in her mind on little boy designs. And, our designer Crystal is expecting twins in November. (She currently has a 16 month old daughter, and we don’t know the sex of the twins yet.) Crystal is already asking designer Lydia and her daughter for guidance and help! So, it goes without saying…our households have been busy and spring has already become a wild adventure for the three of us.
Recently, we are finishing up our last few orders that we received for graduation presents. As you can tell with our news, we will be slowing up on productivity for awhile. The mommas just can’t handle the sewing on top of the baby preparation. (Although, we do have school pocketbooks still available!) We just won’t be able to accomodate custom orders at this time. We do still have some of our boxes still listed on the site available as well. As of right now, we can’t be sure when we will get back into the full swing of things. Only the babies will give us the go ahead. But, we certainly will be good about posting an update as to when we unleash ourselves from the spit up, giggles, diaper changes, and exhaustion!
So…as always…we will keep you posted. It is baby haven over here…which just keeps our minds being creative and our mommy heads spinning!

Heading Back to Our Roots
Many people ask us…how did you three women meet and come up with Posterity Place? All three of us actually attended high school together. And, not just high school. Some of the friendships date all the way back to elementary school! We each individually have our own story. While we all grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and attended school together, life took each of us on a different road in college and merging into the “real world.” However, after we all had our adventures, we all ended up back in the “Good Life”, settling in Omaha. Since we have been in Omaha, we merged all of our ideas, experiences, and creativity to start Posterity Place. (This is the nice short, condensed version!)
To celebrate our roots, we are heading back to our alma mater. We will be at the Lincoln East Choir Craft Show on March 13! (We even have a past choir member as one of our designers!) We will keep you posted on details, as we receive them. Come, stop by and say hello! We love meeting all of you! Let’s go Spartans!

Okay…so you have heard us talk about them. But, what are they? School pocketbooks? It sounds like something your grandmother had when she was little. It’s All About Me Women’s Fair
2010 is under way, and we are just getting started! Posterity Place will be at our first show on February 11 in Omaha, NE. We also want to do our part in helping with the recent crisis in Haiti. This Wellness Fair is donating all admission profit to help with the relief efforts. We would love to see you there! You can get pampered, meet some great vendors, and place your Posterity Place memory keepsake order. Those memories are piling up after the holidays and the first semester of school being complete! Blogging World…
Many people often ask us, where you do come up with your ideas? In part, some of our creativity is inherit. All three of us are scrapbookers. We succombed to the hobby after we all got married, moved back to our “roots”, and had big life events, like getting married and having children. We love getting our creative minds together and tag teaming our ideas.

Happy New Year!
Forgive our late sentiment. We are unburying ourselves from the holidays and the snow! Wow, the holiday sure did go fast. We hope you had a great time with family and friends.

It’s that Ying/Yang Time of Year
Aaaahhh snow days! If you live in Nebraska or the Midwest, you feel like you have been digging out for months! The great thing about snow days is it gives you an unexpected day to offset your typical schedule and get caught up on things.
We are facing that ying/yang time of the year. You are trying to finish up and close out the year, but at the same time, think of the new year beginning. As you try to play catch up and plan, here is a brief run down on what is happening at Posterity Place…
- Thank you!: We are three busy moms, often dealing with the many life challenges that you face. We debuted our small little adventure in October 2009, and we owe our success to you! Thank you for keeping us even busier, stimulating our creative juices, and supporting our cause. It has been a pleasure working with you, and we look forward to the continued journey. We have learned a lot in 3 short months!
- Holidays!: Wowsers…are we busy…and it is fantastic! We are currently finishing up all of our Christmas orders. We have reached our capacity for Christmas orders; however, we are taking orders for 2010. If you have placed a holiday order, we will be in touch with you shortly.
- Bring on the New Year!: We have many exciting plans for 2010, so we hope that you will check back with us frequently! Look for more box designs to appear online, our Etsy shop will be opening, and more products will be unveiled. This is just a small glimpse as to what we have in store.

Turkey Tired
Are you turkey tired from Thanksgiving? We hope you had a wonderful holiday celebrating with family and friends. If you are like us, you are wondering, how is Thanksgiving over and the next holiday is a mere three and half weeks away?
And, like us, your head spinning…have to do more holiday shopping, what meals are we going to have, coordinating family arrivals, figuring out how everything–the shopping, holiday parties, house preparation, etc. is going to fit into these short weeks.
If you need a break from the madness or need to do some shopping…stop by the 2009 Christmas Gift and Craft Show. Posterity Place will be there to take orders and sell our products for the holiday season.

Christmas Order Deadline…
The Lincoln St. Mark’s Craft Fair was huge success! Thank you to all who visited our booth, as it was nice meeting all of you! We got some wonderful feedback and are now in the process of completing all of our orders. Continue to look for future offerings and updates here on our blog!
Here are a couple of announcements:
1. In order to have your memory box completed by Christmas, we need to have your order placed no later than December 5th! Our elves are quite busy whipping up the orders for Santa to deliver.
2. We will have one more show in 2009, where items can be ordered. Look for Posterity Place to be at the 2009 Christmas Gift and Craft Show. (Details listed below.) You can also place an order by emailing us at posterityplace@hotmail.com

Grade School Pocket Books are Here!
It’s nearing the end of the first semster. Can you believe the holidays are right upon us? If you are a parent to a grade schooler, you know all too well that the papers, artwork, writing samples, and school programs are making their way home. Are you starting a plastic bin for each grade? Wait…we can help!
Posterity Place has just created a grade school pocket book, an organizer to keep those special papers in tact for years to come. We will be debuting the product at our most recent craft show this weekend at St. Mark’s Church in Lincoln, NE. Get your order in, as they are sure to be hot sellers!
